Stretch of the week: Hamstring Stretch
Relieve tight hamstring muscles from anywhere with this simple stretch while improving your flexiblity and relieving lower back pain.


Dr. Parson here again. I'm going to get involved in this one. I'll show you some techniques on the hamstring stretches there's about  a thousand of them that you can do, you can do them with somebody helping you but the one most effective is actually, you have to do less. Which here's one, if you stretch like that if you got a lot of flexibility that's great you've been doing a little yoga and you're an athlete that's great but actually that traction of the sciatic nerve and for low back patients I'd really like them not to do that. So, we're going to do the one that’s is going to get the hamstring. Now I'm 55 years old if I can do this you do it too. Alright so back straight, push belly into your thigh. Boom! My hamstrings lit up right here. That's all I got to do, boom. Now if you do that you got to go farther and you're pulling on the sciatic nerve which I'm trying to fix all right so straight belly to thigh, don't bend push through your hips takes a little practice no bending right back feel that.
